History and Background

Although an Environmental Assessment was previously completed for the widening of State Route 63 from Scott County to Interstate 75 in Campbell County, the overall project corridor was later identified as a candidate for the Expedited Project Delivery (EPD) program, aimed at identifying and recommending improvement options that are feasible, cost effective and provide improved safety and mobility. While the associated EPD report recommendations include the proposed intersection realignment and truck climbing lane, other various improvements identified within the corridor as a result of the analysis have either been completed or are currently under construction.
