Employee Suggestion Award Program

The Employee Suggestion Award Program (ESAP) provides a way for state employees to submit ideas and suggestions to improve state government operations or services and reduce costs. Cash awards for implemented suggestions with realized savings equal 15% of the annual savings realized in a fiscal year, with a maximum award of $100,000.

How to Submit Your Ideas

Step 1: Click on the link to open the ESAP Suggestion Form. Note: You must submit your suggestion on the official ESAP Suggestion Form to be considered.

Step 2: Complete the entire form, providing information about your idea and save the document on your computer.

Step 3: Send your completed ESAP Suggestion Form as an attachment by email to your respective Agency Coordinator.

You will receive a confirmation notice of receipt and any follow-up correspondence by email from your respective Agency Coordinator.

If you have additional information to submit with your suggestion, you may scan and submit attachments with your emailed suggestion.

*Suggestions from retired employees should be sent to the Agency Coordinator of the agency from which the employee retired.
