WIIN Lead Testing

The Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act   (WIIN Act)

The WIIN Act was created in 2016 to address, support and improve America's drinking water infrastructure.   The  Act established grants to assist states in accomplishing this goal.  As a recipient of the WIIN Lead Testing in School and Child Care Program Drinking Water grant, Tennessee is offering free water lead testing to Head Start/Early Head Start facilities and Tennessee Department of Human Services licensed child care centers.  Participation in this program is voluntary.

Head Start/Early Head Start facilities and TDHS-licensed child care centers wishing to participate in this voluntary program Lead testing kit can request test kits containing collection bottles, instructions and pre-paid return shipping labels by contacting TDH Laboratory Services by phone at (615) 262-6300 or by email at Lead_Testing.Support@tn.gov.

Testing results will be shared with the facility as soon as possible, but no later than two weeks following the completion of testing.
