Thanks to everyone who joined us on July 20, 2023, for the 10th Annual Working for a Healthier Tennessee Celebration!

We're deeply proud of the energy, effort and care put into your Wellness Councils, agencies and employees' lives. Congratulations to all agencies who reached platinum, gold and silver, and to the 2023 special recognition award winners!

Our team would like to thank Eugene Neubert, Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Finance & Administration and Laurie Lee, executive director of Benefits Administration, for taking the time to help host our event. Achievement Level Award Winners

This is the first year Wellness Councils can achieve platinum. This level represents agencies who have shown consistency in workplace wellness programming and maintained gold achievement level for two fiscal years in a row.

To achieve gold, agencies show consistency in workplace wellness programming throughout the fiscal year. They've organized and promoted wellness activities to meet the needs of their employees in our focus areas (well-being, physical activity and healthy eating).

Silver achievement level represents agencies who have shown consistency in workplace wellness program in our focus areas and have built a solid foundation to which will allow the initiative to continue to grow.

Special Recognition Award Winners

This Wellness Council has show improvement in their efforts over the last fiscal year to organize and promote wellness activities that meet the needs of their employees. These efforts may include strengthening their agency's Wellness Council, improving Wellness Council communications and/or trying different strategies to engage and inspire their workforce.

  • Commission on Aging & Disability

This award recognizes a Wellness Council that excels at reaching all their employees and keeping them in-the-know about workplace wellness events, activities and resources.

The Engagement Award recognizes the Wellness Council that moves the masses - providing their employees with activities they want to join so they keep coming back for more.

  • Department of Human Resources

This Wellness Council goes beyond Working for a Healthier Tennessee's quarterly activity lists, and comes up with out-of-the-box ideas to engage co-workers in health and wellness activities.

  • Department of Human Services

This is a Wellness Council that's intentional about including and engaging employees you won't often find working at a traditional desk.

These employees are super star Wellness Council members who always have a positive attitude and are constantly encouraging their co-workers to engage in health and wellness activities to live healthier lives.
