Monday, January 08, 2024 | 02:22pm

Today, we are announcing the dates for the 2024 Tennessee Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference. The 27th edition of the event, recognized as the largest and most comprehensive gathering of workers’ compensation professionals in the state, will be an exclusively in-person event held at the beautiful Embassy Suites Nashville SE in Murfreesboro on June 12-14. Sessions will feature both locally and nationally known experts offering solutions to industry-wide issues within employer, adjuster, attorney, and medical program tracks.

The Bureau is also issuing a Call for Presenters. Employers, attorneys, nurse case managers, medical providers, mediators, risk managers, safety professionals, and others from across the state and the entire southeast will convene. We are looking for thought leaders with engaging and informative presentations that can improve injury outcomes, cooperation between stakeholders, and the quality and efficiency of the Tennessee workers' compensation system. Our audience appreciates hearing from their peers about successful new programs and products that can ease the ongoing challenges faced in this industry.

  • Topics should be of interest to an audience of 500+.
  • Single presenters or panels composed of up to three presenters are allowed. Submissions should include the name(s) of the presenter(s), the title of the presentation and a summary of the topic(s) to be discussed that includes at least three learning objectives. Presenters may submit more than one presentation topic.
  • Sessions are scheduled for 60-minutes and could be placed on the agenda as either General (Plenary) Sessions or Breakout (Concurrent) Sessions depending on the targeted audience.
  • PowerPoint presentations are preferred and, if selected, must be submitted by Friday May 31st.
  • Presentations must not include solicitations on behalf of an individual, vendor, product, or commercial activity. Presenters will not be paid for their participation. Prior experience in public speaking is required.
  • All content presented must be factual, and statistics should be cited and current. All copyright permissions must be in place before submission.
  • Presentation rooms will include a laptop, projector, screen, and microphones.

Requests to present should be sent to tn.workcomp@tn.gov and are due by Monday, April 1st, 2024. All submissions will be reviewed by the conference committee, and the most trending and thought-provoking presentations will be selected.
