- Unless otherwise listed, dove hunting is open with statewide seasons and bag limits
The 17th Annual TWRA Maury County/Steve Brown Memorial Youth Dove Hunt will be held on September 9th at the Middle Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center, 1000 Main Entrance Drive, Spring Hill, TN.
Youth, ages 9-16 (on the day of the hunt), who have successfully passed a Hunter Education course, are eligible to register for this hunt. Parents/Guardians will need to use the youth’s information to register for the event. All hunters should have the appropriate license needed to legally hunt.

Space is limited to 25 youth hunters and will be based on the order of registration. Each youth hunter must be accompanied by one non-hunting adult during the event. Only one youth and one non hunting adult per stake, no exceptions.

Wildlife Management Areas
Crops planted: 100 acres total: 11 acres of sunflowers bush hogged; 13 acres of millet bush hogged; 20 acres of wheat top sown; 4 acres buchwheat bush hogged
Hunt Dates: Open with statewide seasons. (Season opens at 12:00 noon on September 1). TWRA will assist with parking and field access on opening day only starting at 9:00 am CST.

Hunt Dates: Closed on Sept 1. Juvenile Hunt Sept 2. All hunters Sept 4, 9, 16, 23, Designated field only.

Directions: From Exit 42 on 840, go south on Horton Hwy (41A), take right at the split now becomes Hwy31 ALT, and continue straight. Cross the Harpeth River and the dove field will be on the left.

Hunt Dates: Sept 1 @ 12:00 noon. Same as the statewide season. You may not enter the field or reserve hunting locations till 11:00 opening day. Dove season closes Sept 16-Oct 1 during the Laurel Hill WMA deer archery season.
Directions: From Columbia TN take US 43S, exit Rt HWY 20. Go 2 mi. Turn Left on HWY 240, go 10 mi.Turn Rt on HWY 241 (Napier Rd), go 2.7mi Fields on both sides of the road. 276 Napier Rd. Lawrenceburg, TN 38464

Closed to dove hunting until after the youth hunt Sept 2nd. Begins 30 minutes before sunrise until sunset Available to youths 6-16 with proper license. Must be accompanied by a non-hunting adult 21 or older who is not required to have license

Hunt Dates: NO WEEKDAY HUNTING except Labor Day. Sept 1st (noon) - 4th; 9th &10th; 16th &17th; 23rd & 24th; Oct 14th &15th; 21st & 22nd; 28th & 29th; Nov 4th & 5th; Gates will be open by 7 am on hunt days.
Sept 1, 99 staked positions will be assigned by drawing at 10 am. Hunter must be at stake at 12 and check out at the conclusion of hunt. Shooting from staked positions only. Only one shooter per stake. After Sept 1 positions are first come first serve
Directions: From Sam Ridley Pkwy east Turn right onto the US-41/US-70S ramp to Smyrna/La Vergne. Merge onto US-4Murfreesboro Rd for 1.3 mi, Turn right onto Fergus Rd 0.9 mi. Turn right onto Jones Mill Rd. Destination will be on the right 0.8 mi 236 Jones Mill Rd

Hunt Dates: September 1, 2, 9,16, 23. September 1, Draw hunt, must register before 10am, hunter must hunt from stake positions.
Directions: From highway 50 in the Williamsport Community, Turn on Snow Creek Rd, then LEFT on Leiper's Creek rd. Dove field is on the Left where the TVA powerlines cross road.

Hunt Dates: September 1 (noon - sunset), open every day with statewide seasons. On September 1st, Park in the East and West field, TWRA personnel will be onsite to instruct when to go on field, no putting out equipment early to save spots.
Directions: Travel north on Fred White Road. The dove fields are on the east and west side just south of the Howard Bridge Boat Ramp.
