Bibliography of Tennessee Civil War Unit Histories at TSLA

During the Civil War, nearly every county in Tennessee formed military units for the Confederate government and the Federal government. The Tennessee State Library and Archives has collections of Civil War military records which can be used by patrons conducting historical or genealogical research.

TSLA also has developed a collection of published books and articles on specific Confederate and Union military units. All of the items in the following indexes are available at TSLA, and can be viewed Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. TSLA can, for a fee, make photocopies of the listed articles. TSLA can photocopy selected pages from books; the number of pages we are able to copy, however, may be limited due to copyright restrictions.
