Public Comment – Choices Act

There are several components of the Long-Term Care Community Choices Act of 2008 that will require federal approval. Before TennCare submits the necessary paperwork (a waiver amendment) to the federal government’s Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services at the end of September, we are soliciting comments on our amendment proposal.

Not every component of the Choice Act requires federal approval. This proposed amendment, therefore, only addresses aspect of the new law that specifically require additional or modified federal authority to implement.

The purpose of this section is to present TennCare policy and protocol on topics requiring explanation or more detail than is provided in other TennCare documents (such as contracts and rules).
