District 47 - West TN - Northern

BENTON COUNTY, I-40 Truck Climbing Lane: Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone. *Speed limit is reduced to 60 MPH.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 104: The grading, drainage, paving and construction of a bridge on SR 104 over Mill Creek. Roadway is CLOSED for duration of project.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 423: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete I-beam bridge on SR 423 over Clear Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

Restrictions: Monday, February 12, a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in with a 10’ lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-3/US-51: Repair of bridges over South Fork Forked Deer River. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone.

DYER COUNTY, SR-20: Repair of bridges over North Fork Forked Deer River. Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction. *Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-54: The grading, drainage, construction of bridges, retaining wall and paving on SR 54 from near Rison Street to near Smith Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-78: Construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee bridge on SR 78 over drainage ditch including grading, drainage, and paving will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Restrictions: Beginning Tuesday, August 1 through November 30, 2018, a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 9’ lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, Future I-69: Grading, drainage, construction of eight bridges on future I-69 from south of US 51 (SR 3) to south of US 45W (SR 5) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH through the US 51 (SR 3) portion of the project. The inside southbound lane on SR 3 is closed to all traffic for installation of barrier rail. Restrictions: Tuesday, June 13, 2017 SR 3 has a lane shift in the north and southbound directions. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 11’ 6” lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, SR-5: Installation of signals on US-45W (SR 5) at the intersection of Jackson Street in Union City.

District 48 - West TN – Middle/Southern

CROCKETT COUNTY, SR 76: The grading, drainage, paving and construction of bridges on SR 76 over Cypress Creek and overflow. Beginning February 7, 2018, temporary signals will be utilized. Restriction: There will be a 12’ width restriction in place. Traffic reduced to one lane.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR 69:  Beginning February 7, 2018 there will be a lane closure on SR 69 to repair the bridge over Lick Creek. Temporary signals will be in use. Restriction: There will be a 12’ width restriction in place.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR 20:  The repair of a bridge on US 412 (SR 20) over the Tennessee River (LM 9.05).

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge and paving on I-40 at the SR 196 (Hickory Withe Road) interchange. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway. Wednesday, March 14, through Wednesday, March 21: There are no scheduled closures.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-15:  There will be temporary closures to remove and replace lens on snowplowable markers from LM 0.00 to 18.170.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on SR 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR 15) in Savannah will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128:  The grading, drainage, and paving on SR 128 from south of One Stop Drive to south of Opel Loop. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways

HAYWOOD COUNTY-SR-19 (Brownsville Bypass): A widening project on SR 19 from west of Windrow Road to SR 76 south of Brownsville will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY–SR-76: Construction of a concrete bulb tee beam bridge over the Hatchie River – Wednesday, May 3, 2017 SR 76 CLOSED approx. 1 mile south of the I-40/Exit 56 interchange for removal of the truss bridge. *Local traffic will have access up to the bridge. An interstate detour will be posted at Exit 56 and Exit 52 (Stanton/KoKo Road).

MADISON COUNTY, SR-5: Wednesday, March 14, 10:00 p. m. through Thursday, March 21, 5:00 a. m. A portion of Highland Ave. at the Campbell intersection will be closed and traffic will be detoured. This closure will be for the installation of mast arms as part of the signal reconstruction that is going on at this intersection.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-186 (US45 Bypass) and I-40: Interchange improvements on SR-186 (US 45) north and southbound from the I-40 ramps (LM 2.83) to Old Hickory Blvd (LM 3.33) for paving and construction of retaining walls.  Widening of I-40 from just east of Exit 79 to just east of Exit 82.

Saturday, March 17, 7:00 a. m.-6:00 p. m.: There will be a temporary closure on I-40 east bound, right lane, from MM 79.6-80.2. For offsetting of beams. Weather Permitting
Backup date: March 18, 7:00 a. m.-6:00 p. m.

Saturday, March 24, and Sunday, March 25, 5:00 a. m.-9:00 p. m.:
Close and detour I-40 east and west bound onto existing ramps at Exit 80 (Hwy 45 Bypass). Close and detour Hwy 45 Bypass south and north bound at interchange. To allow for steel erection of the 45 By-Pass bridge over the interstate. Weather Permitting.

Saturday, April 7, and Sunday, April 8, 5:00 a. m.-9:00 p. m.: Close and detour I-40 east and west bound onto existing ramps at Exit 80 (Hwy 45 Bypass). Close and detour Hwy 45 Bypass south and north bound at interchange. To allow for steel erection of the 45 By-Pass bridge over the interstate. Weather Permitting.
Backup Dates are April 14-15, and April 21-22.

TDOT REGION 4: On-Call Pavement Markings: Wednesday, March 14, through Wednesday, March 21: There are no scheduled closures.

TDOT REGION 4: On-Call Guardrail Repair/Concrete Barrier Rail Repair: Wednesday, March 14, and Thursday, March 15, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

·         I-40, Madison, Henderson, and Decatur Counties east and west bound (MM 67.00-126.12)

TDOT MAINTENANCE: Wednesday, March 14, through Wednesday, March 21, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to repair pavement on an as needed basis.

·         Thursday, March 15, 8:30 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: There will be lane closures on I-40 in Madison County from MM 68-95 east and west bound to repair potholes. Weather Permitting.

District 49 - West TN - Southwest

FAYETTE COUNTY, US 70 (US 79, SR-1): A bridge repair project on SR 1 over branch will result in lane closures in both directions daily.

FAYETTE COUNTY- SR-59 over I-40: A bridge repair project on US-70 (SR 79, SR 1) over branch and on SR 59 over I-40.

FAYETTE COUNTY – I-40 Pothole Repair: Thursday, March 15, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-40 west and eastbound (inside and outside) lanes beginning at MM 27.00 (near Shelby County Line) through    MM 35.00 (SR 59) to allow for pothole repair. *Friday, March 16, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. will serve as a backup date. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Exit 1 to Exit 1A: Bridge repair project will cause possible lane closures on I-40 over the Mississippi River and 5 bridges over Wolf River, various ramps and city streets and railroad. Friday, March 16, 7:00 p.m. through Monday, March 19, 5:00 a.m.: I-40 Eastbound (Coming from Arkansas) Exit 1 to Riverside Drive will be CLOSED to replace expansion joint. Exit 1 to Front Street will remain open. Weather Permitting.

Saturday, March 17, 5:00 a.m. through Monday, March 19, 5:00 a.m.: The (2) two inside lanes on I-40 westbound will be CLOSED beginning at approximately MM 1.60 through MM 0.60 for repairs to the bridge over Second and Third Street. One lane will remain open. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, ITS Maintenance on I-40/I-55: Tuesday, March 20 through Thursday, March 22, 9:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m.: CLOSE I-55 southbound outside lane beginning at Tennessee / Arkansas state line through Tennessee MM 1.0 to allow for repairs to ITS equipment. There will be a 9’ width restriction. Weather Permitting. * Friday, March 23, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. will serve as a backup date.

Tuesday, March 20 and Wednesday, March 21, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: CLOSE I-55 northbound outside lane beginning at Tennessee MM 11.50 near Crump BLVD. through Tennessee / Arkansas state line to allow for repairs to ITS equipment. Thursday, March 15, and Friday, March 16, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; and Saturday, March 17, 7:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-240 at US 78 (LM 9.60) westbound including “Off” ramps to allow for dip and asphalt repair.  Weather Permitting. *Monday, March 19, Tuesday, March 20, and Wednesday, March 21, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. will serve as backup days.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 MemFix 4: Replacement of Norfolk Southern, SR 57 east and westbound bridges, and repair of Park Avenue bridge over I-240.

I-240: There are shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 NB/SB between Quince and Walnut Grove.
The lane closures along I-240 east and westbound between Quince and Walnut Grove will stay in place throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, Eastmoreland over I-240 (L.M. 036) and on U.S. 51 (S.R. 3) over the Wolf River (L.M. 15.25): Bridge repair will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. 

Wednesday, March 14 until Mid-Summer:  There will be INTERMITTENT lane closures on U.S. 51 (S.R. 3) at the Wolf River (L.M. 15.25) to perform the contracted bridge deck repair work. Weather Permitting.

Wednesday, March 14 until Mid-Summer:  The bridge over I-240 at L.M. 0.36 (Eastmoreland Avenue) will be CLOSED to perform the contracted bridge deck repair work.  Detour will be provided.  Weather permitting.

Friday, March 16, 8:00 p.m. through Monday, March 19, 6:00 a.m.:  I-240 east and westbound ramp at Union Avenue (north and southbound I-240) will be CLOSED to perform the contracted bridge deck repair work.  Detour will be provided.  Weather permitting*Friday, March 23, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. will serve as a backup date.

SHELBY COUNTY – The repair of bridges on Riverside Drive over I-55 (L.M. 0.23) Friday, March 16, 7:00 p. m. through Monday, March 19, 5:00 a. m.:  There will be INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-55 north and southbound between South Parkway and Crump Blvd. to perform work the contracted bridge repair work on Riverside Drive bridge. Weather Permitting. *Friday, March 23, 7:00 p. m.-5:00 a. m. will serve as a backup date.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project.

On April 21, 2017, Old Covington Pike East access to/from SR 14 was permanently CLOSED. *Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14: The grading, drainage, construction of concrete Bulb-Tee and I-beam bridges, signals and paving on SR 14 from east of Old Covington Pike to SR 385 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-175Resurfacing on SR 175 from near Elvis Presley Blvd. to Swinnea.

SHELBY and FAYETTE COUNTY, - SR-385 Sign Conversion for I-269:

·         Tipton County, SR 3 north and southbound, MM 0.00 – MM 25.00, various locations; Shoulder Closure ONLY.
