Nashville, Tennessee --- The Tennessee Department of Safety has released results from the Tennessee Highway Patrol Roadside Commercial Vehicle Checkpoints held September 6 & 8. Both checkpoints were held between 7:00am and 11:00am at mile marker 252 along I-40.
Troopers inspected a total of 122 commercial vehicles, resulting in the discovery of 17 safety violations. One vehicle and two drivers placed out of service.
During the September 6 checkpoint, 71 commercial vehicles were inspected with only five safety violations found, and one citation issued.
During the September 8 checkpoint, 51 commercial vehicles were inspected, resulting in the discovery of 12 safety violations found. Troopers placed one vehicle and two drivers out of service.
