Nashville, Tennessee --- The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) announced today it is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person or persons who vandalized a multi-agency radio tower in Perry County . The radio tower is used by the Department of Safety, Division of Forestry, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency , Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency and Tennessee Department of Transportation and is owned by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.
On July 17, at approximately 2 a.m. , vandals cut and stole close to 900 feet of cable and caused nearly $15,000 in damage to the radio tower located near Lobelville at Roan Creek.
Anyone with information on this crime is urged to contact the Tennessee Highway Patrol at (615) 251-5185 or any other THP office.
