- In 2009, Independence Day will be observed on Friday, July 3.
- Labor Day

- Labor Day is the first Monday in September.
- Columbus Day
- Observed October 12, 2009
- Columbus Day is the second Monday in October. At the Governor's discretion, it may be observed the Friday after Thanksgiving.
