Major Wayne Springer
Major Wayne Springer's first job with the Department of Safety was as a Communications Operator for the Lawrenceburg District, beginning in 1982. He became a Trooper two years later and was assigned to Giles County, where he remained until transferring to Lawrence County in 1987. In 1989, he was promoted to Sergeant for Lawrence County. Springer served in that position for eight years until being promoted to Lieutenant in 1997. He was the Administrative Lieutenant for District Seven for more than eight years, until being promoted to Captain in 2005.
