The Department of Safety provides a variety of convenient ways to reinstate your driving privileges: online, by mail, or in person at various driver license centers.
In-person reinstatements are NO LONGER processed at 1150 Foster Avenue in Nashville. Please see below for a driver license center location near you to reinstate in person.
Internet
Use the internet for the quickest reinstatement method available. If eligible to reinstate online, a driver must know his/her Tennessee driver license number and the last name as it appears on the driver license. Additionally, online reinstatement requires a valid credit/debit card for payment.

To obtain reinstatement requirements via the automated phone system, the Tennessee driver license number is required. Payment Plan Information
The Department of Safety accepts payment of certain reinstatement fees by installments. Reinstatement Payment Plans can only be processed at certain Driver Services Centers.
