Restricted License Information
DUI (1st Offense T.C.A. 55-10-401), Child Endangerment-DUI and Allowing an Intoxicated Person to Drive (T.C.A. 55-10-403).

Obtain a certified order from the court where convicted, or court in county of residence, to drive to and from person's regular place of employment, or going to and from and attending a court-ordered alcohol DUI program, or to and from school if enrolled full time in a college or university, or to a scheduled interlock monitoring appointment.

Obtain SR-22 from liability insurance company showing currently in effect.

Pay $67.00 driver license fee for class "D".

Pass a driver license examination.
Must present original and one copy of court order, SR-22, and driver license fee to Driver License Examiner within 10 days of order being certified.
A restricted license cannot be issued if the DUI occurred after July 1, 2000 and applicant has been previously convicted of DUI, DUI-Child Endangerment, Allowing an Intoxicated Person to Drive, or Adult Driving While Impaired within 10 years, or Vehicular Homicide Intoxication Proximate Cause, Aggravated Vehicular Homicide, or Vehicular Assault.
