Adult Protective Services
Adult Protective Services staff investigate reports of abuse, neglect (including self-neglect) or financial exploitation of adults who are unable to protect themselves due to a physical or mental limitation. APS staff assess the need for protective services and provide services to reduce the identified risk to the adult.
Child Care Services
Child Care Service is here to help ensure the quality of child care settings across Tennessee with health and safety being the foundation. Child Care Services has a focus on several key areas including: parental engagement, the health and safety of children in care and early learning. Child Care Services seeks to provide trusted tools, services and guidance to empower parents and provide a foundation for the success of children’s futures.
The Child and Adult Care Food Program and the Summer Food Service Program are administered by the state and through a network of community partners with the intention of providing nutritional meals to children and qualified adults with disabilities in low-income settings.
