  • Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, the state of Tennessee is projected to receive approximately $5 billion over the next two years to help speed economic recovery, create and save jobs, and provide services to people most in need during the current economic condition. The Office of Criminal Justice Programs (OCJP) will provide assistance with criminal justice system opportunities.

While some of these dollars will be administered by the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington a portion will be sent to the 50 states to administer. In Tennessee, the Tennessee Office of Criminal Justice Programs (OCJP) will function as a strategic planning agency that secures, distributes and manages federal and state grant funds and criminal justice Recovery Act grant dollars.
