Tennessee is a state rich in musical heritage and is home to many of the world’s most creative and influential musical minds in the country. No other place in the world can claim the roots of rock ‘n’ roll, blues, country, bluegrass and gospel music. Tennessee’s unique and diverse music is both our state’s foundation and its growing future.

To keep in step with this multi-billion dollar industry the commission is committed to developing and providing services that reflect the needs of the music communities throughout the state. To help us do that, the commission:

• Is implementing an industry assessment. As the music industry grows and changes, additional assessments will be conducted, enabling us to grow and change with the industry.
• Offers this music website, full of valuable information whether you are an industry professional or just thinking of getting into the business.
