Office of Energy Programs

Effective January 1, 2013, the Energy Division was transferred to the Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) and renamed the Office of Energy Programs (OEP).  The transfer was made following the issuance of Governor Haslam's Executive Order No. 25.  OEP’s grant administration and energy-related education and outreach efforts fit well with TDEC's mission and priorities. These activities complement TDEC's work in energy efficiency, energy conservation and support for renewable fuels, as they reduce overall demand for energy and, specifically, fossil generated power.
