Fall at Montgomery Bell State Park
Late fall scenes at Montgomery Bell State Park (above) are just one more reason to enjoy Thanksgiving Dinner at a Tennessee State Park. All eight state park restaurants will be open Thursday, Nov. 26, serving their annual Thanksgiving Day feast. Thanksgiving turkey, traditional trimmings and an assortment of desserts will be available beginning at 11 a.m. until closing at state park restaurants across Tennessee. Click here for

Tennessee State Parks Feature

N.B. Forrest State Park features Pilot Knob, the highest elevation in West Tennessee, and the Tennessee River Folklife Interpretive Center.

N.B. Forrest State Park features Pilot Knob, the highest elevation in West Tennessee, and the Tennessee River Folklife Interpretive Center. The center demonstrates life, ways, and customs of folks on the Tennessee River. Annual Lighting of the Knob is Saturday, Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. CST.

South Cumberland State Park hosts Gizzard Day Hike on Nov. 27. Come hike the 13 mile Fiery Gizzard Trail to work out your senses as well as your body. Meet at the Grundy Forest parking lot with a pack lunch and water. For more information call (931) 924-2980.

N. B. Forrest State Park hosts Lighting of the Knob on Nov. 28. The 6th annual Lighting of the Knob features lights decorating the museum, visits with Santa, choirs playing festive music with lots of food and fellowship. Knob will be lit at 6 p.m. CST. For more information call (731) 584-2128.
