The Clean Air Partnership operates an Air Alert program, which provides forecasts for unhealthy air quality in Davidson and surrounding counties. Air Alerts can be issued based on ozone, fine particulates or both. Air Alerts provide advance warning of days when air quality is expected to become unhealthy and includes actions that everyone can take to reduce air pollution and protect health.
The Clean Air Partnership of Middle Tennessee includes the Metro Public Health Department of Nashville and Davidson County, the Nashville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, the Tennessee Department of Health, the Regional and Metropolitan Transportation Authorities, Vanderbilt University, HCA HealthCare, TVA, Clean Cities of Nashville, the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the American Lung Association of Tennessee, the TMA Group, individuals and employers.
