Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST)

Do you know an outstanding secondary mathematics or science teacher? Parents, educators, and community members can now nominate teachers for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). This year nominations are open to seventh through twelfth grade mathematics and science teachers who have at least five years of full-time math or science teaching experience prior to the current academic school year.

Presidential Awardees at the national level receive a certificate signed by the President of the United States, a trip to Washington, D. C., to attend a series of recognition events and professional development opportunities and a $10,000 award from the National Science Foundation.

To nominate a great educator, visit the National Science Foundation’s website at www.paemst.org before the April 1, 2015 deadline.
