Henry County
Staff Wellness is a strong component now.  Several schools have a staff wellness team.  A monthly CSH newsletter is emailed to all the staff.  Staff have the opportunity to receive a flu shot, plus various health services and screenings are provided.  CSH provides in-service credit on health education concerning students and staff.  A Safety committee was formed to address worker’s compensation claims and decrease employee accidents.

Macon County
Twice a year we conduct Staff/Faculty Health Fairs. In the fall we partner with our local hospital to do a complete blood work up. The hospital will go to the schools before school begins for the day. Cost in between $10-$15, depending on what is lab work is requested. In the spring each Staff/Faculty is offered free screenings (through CSH) that include BMI, Blood Pressure, cholesterol and diabetes.

Monroe County
CSH has provided exercise equipment for staff and staff wellness fairs.  School staff had a pedometer walking competition to win a treadmill for their school.

Putnam County
We started a wellness program for staff, called “Search Your Heart,” to encourage cardiac health and prevent stroke. 

Warren County
CSH partnered with TNCEP to provide heart care in-services for staff. Also, CSH partnered with a certified trainer from parks and recreation to provide fitness in-services for staff. A registered dietician from River Park Hospital provides Diabetes training for staff. Search Your Heart staff wellness program is provided by Health Services, CSH and the Regional Health Office. This program meets monthly with a focus on health and nutrition. A Top Health newsletter is distributed to all staff.
