National Board Certification: National Board Certification is a demonstration of teaching practice as measured against rigorous standards. It is a symbol of commitment to excellence in teaching.
School Improvement Planning Transition: Tennessee schools have been involved in school improvement planning through the Tennessee School Improvement Planning Process (TSIPP). The purpose has been to assist educators in using data to prioritize performance targets for each school.
Teacher Education: The Office of Teacher Education and Accreditation is responsible for the implementation of the approval process that evaluates the professional education units in Tennessee teacher preparation colleges and universities and the state licensure programs offered by those units.

NSBA - The National School Boards Association (NSBA) maintains a nationwide registry site. If you select Tennessee, job vacancies (if any) will be listed and a link to the Tennessee School Boards Association is provided.
Teach TN - The goal of this program is to create a statewide program that challenges mid-career professionals, retirees and others to teach. It is designed for those who already have a bachelor’s degree, 24 college hours in some field and would like to teach in that same content area for grades 7-12.
TN Teaching Jobs - TDOE's recruitment and referral site. Information found on this site is available to teachers and related service personnel who currently hold or are in the process of obtaining a valid Tennessee license.
Transition to Teaching - A federally funded program designed to attract mid-career professionals and recent college graduates to fill vacancies in critical shortage areas in high need schools. The program funds alternative certification programs to help participants become highly qualified teachers.
Troops to Teachers - Federally funded, the purpose of TTT is to assist eligible military personnel to transition to a new career as public school teachers in “high-need” schools.
