Job Development

Tennessee values partnerships with local communities to enhance economic development on many different levels. Our Job development function focuses on the advantages of a regional approach to better serve local officials, existing and potential business leaders and economic development professionals in making the process of doing business in and with Tennessee more efficient on all levels.

Our job development specialists serve as a conduit for resources and provide assistance in connecting not only with all agencies on the state level but key players in local communities. During an on-site visit in Tennessee, ECD’s professional job development specialists will accompany the prospective business representative, handle planning and initiating the itinerary, between the department, other state agencies, and the local communities visited by the prospect. All visits are treated as confidential unless otherwise stated.
