As the business of economic development becomes more global with each day, Tennessee is emerging as a prime location worldwide for manufacturing facilities, data centers, research facilities and international headquarters.
Leading global companies like Volkswagen, Nissan North America and Bridgestone chose Tennessee for its competitive incentives, key location and logistics infrastructure and world class workforce.
Tennessee Trade, TNECD’s export promotion initiative located within the International Division, places an emphasis on increasing exports for the state’s small and medium size businesses by diminishing the cost and uncertainty around exporting. Using resources provided by the U.S. Small Business Administration’s State Trade and Export Promotion (STEP) Grant, Tennessee Trade will provide businesses, whether new to exporting or not, with education and services designed to help increase their sales to foreign markets.
The TNECD Global team includes Nashville-based recruiters and Export Development and Investment Recruitment Representatives in the following markets: Canada, China, the European Union (based in Germany), Japan, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
