DIDD Approved CPR and First Aid Vendors

DIDD approves CPR and First Aid Vendors based on the following requirements:

  1. the vendor's training program must conform to national standards and be based on the same scientific guidelines and recommendation used by the American Heart Association (AHA) and American Red Cross (ARC) for course development.
  2. The emergency care component is required to have hands-on performance of basic first aid and CPR skills evaluated by an authorized instructor.

Below is the list of CPR and First Aid Vendors currently approved by DIDD:
(All classes must be completed in a classroom setting, no web-based course accepted)

  • American Heart Association (AHA)
  • American Red Cross (ARC) - includes lifeguard CPR/1st Aid
  • American Health and Safety Institute (ASHI)
  • American Health and Safety Council
  • National Safety Council
  • Health and Safety Institute (HSI)
  • Medic First
  • EMS Safety Services
  • First Responder
