TDOC And Community Partners To Host Career & Resource Fair

MEMPHIS - The Tennessee Department of Correction is partnering with the Tennessee Reentry Collaborative and local employers to hold a job readiness and career fair for ex-offenders and veterans in the Memphis area on Wednesday, September 20, 2017.

More than 30 employers, as well as representatives from community resource agencies, will be in attendance. Employers looking to hire will meet with job seekers and accept applications.  Resource agencies will provide assistance with resumes, interviewing skills and information about educational and training opportunities.  Ex-offenders, veterans, and individuals in search of employment are encouraged to attend and bring their resumes and any other qualifications or certificates they may have earned.

Reducing recidivism through evidence-based programs and continued support after an offender’s release from incarceration is part of the Tennessee Department of Correction’s ongoing mission to ensure and enhance public safety.
