CLINTON – Over the past two days, the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) conducted an intensive vehicle search in the parking lot of two of our East Tennessee Community Supervision offices.  This state-wide operation is named “Operation: Clean Up” and resulted in the search of more than 600 vehicles with 239 of the searches being done here in East Tennessee.

This regional sweep resulted in six arrests and the issuance of more than 45 citations.  This operation illustrates TDOC’s commitment to the community by ensuring that the offenders on community supervision are held accountable for their actions.

TDOC’s Probation and Parole Officers, Strike Force and K-9 units led this massive undertaking.  In addition, the Department would like to thank the Anderson County Sheriff’s Department, Clinton Police Department, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, and the Knoxville Police Department for their collaboration.
