Expansion Projects

Population projections for the Tennessee Department of Correction show that, by 2012, there will be 5,000 additional inmates in state custody.  In order to meet that demand, the department recently expanded the Morgan County Correctional Complex and plans to expand the facility in Bledsoe County.

Below you will find a Fact Sheet on each expansion project, along with a copy of the feasibility study conducted by the engineering firm, Barge, Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon.  We have also included a copy of the department's "Strategic Plan for Prison Population Management."
