
Southeastern Tennessee State Regional
Correctional Facility (STSRCF) is a time-building institution with a
close security designation. It is situated on approximately 2,200
acres approximately 15 miles from Pikeville, Tennessee.
Academic programs include GED and Adult
Basic Education. Vocational programs are offered which include sewing/upholstery,
culinary arts, heating and air
conditioning, carpentry, masonry, electronics and barbering.
Mental health programmatic services offered
include a full time therapeutic community substance abuse program. Ancillary programs
include anger management, drug awareness, self awareness, skills for
family living, family life education, assertiveness and stress
management and other programs designed for self-improvement..
The industrial plant at STSRCF is managed
and operated by TRICOR
and is involved in manufacturing items for free world corporations.
Inmates employed by the industries plant are involved in the Prison
Industry Enhancement (PIE) Program which provides inmates the minimum
wage rate of pay plus production incentive. Inmate assigned to this
program must contribute a substantial percentage of their earnings to
the state for room/board, forced savings, victim restitution, and
taxes. Additionally managed by TRICOR is STSRCF's farm comprised of
approximately 2,200 acres. The farm is involved with milk and
limited beef production.
DIRECTIONS:
From Nashville:
Take I-40 East to Exit 317 (Crossville Hwy. 127). Turn right
onto Highway 127 and proceed through Crossville (past courthouse) and
turn right at the junction of Highway 101. Proceed down Highway
101 until you reach a stop sign (approximately 25 miles from
Crossville). Turn right onto Highway 285 and follow the signs to
the facility.
From Knoxville:
Take I-40 West to Exit 322 (Peavine Road). Turn left and
proceed on Hwy. 392 for approximately 4 miles. At the 2nd
traffic light (junction Hwy. 101), turn left onto Hwy. 101 and proceed
for approximately 25 miles until you reach a stop sign. Turn right onto Highway 285 and follow
the signs to the facility.
From Chattanooga:
Take Highway 27 North until you reach the junction of Highway 111.
Veer left onto Highway 111 and follow this road until you reach the
junction of Highway 127 (approximately 20 miles). Turn right
onto Highway 127 and proceed North until you reach the junction of
Highway 30. Turn
left onto Highway 30. Once you've reached the top of the
mountain, you will proceed for approximately 7 miles until you reach
the junction of Highway 101. Turn right onto Highway 101 and
follow this road (do not turn) until you reach the signs for the
facility.
