Big Game, Small Game, and Trapping are the same as statewide seasons, except as noted.
Henderson County portion follows Unit CWD dates and bag limits, including August G/M/A Hunt.
Fall Turkey Hunting - Closed
Turkey - One non-quota hunt: April 13–May 5, 2024. One bearded turkey counts toward the statewide bag limit.
Turkey (Young Sportsman) - Same as statewide season.
Waterfowl - Same as statewide seasons, except as noted. Waterfowl hunting closes at 3 p.m. (CST) each day of the duck season occurring from Nov. - Feb., except the last day of season when hunting closes at sunset. All water traffic is prohibited after 5 p.m. (CST). No access by waterfowl hunters before 4 a.m. (CST).
Site Description – Beech River WMA is comprised of bottomland hardwoods, marsh wetland, portions of channelized Beech River, and the original Beech River meander. Access is available at pull-offs on the east side of Darden road and a gravel parking area off Elliot drive.
