Roxana Gumucio

Executive Director of the Tennessee Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners and the division’s Combined Boards

Roxana Gumucio began her career to TDCI’s Division of Regulatory Boards in 2013 and serves as the Executive Director for the Tennessee Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners as well as a variety of other commissions and boards including the Tennessee Athletic Commission, the Tennessee Auctioneers Commission, the Collection Service Board, Debt Management & Credit Services, Private Probation Service, the Scrap Metal Registration Program, and Court Reporters. She brings to the department more than 14 years of experience in Ohio and Tennessee with the court system, various government agencies, and regulatory bodies. She moved to Tennessee in 2011 and began working with the Board of Professional Responsibility, the licensing agency for Tennessee attorneys through the Tennessee Supreme Court. Ms. Gumucio is a Certified Court Manager with the National Centers for State Courts. She is bilingual in Spanish and works closely with Conexión Americas.
