NFA Security Information

NOTICE!! You are required to read and sign this page to verify that you understand and will comply with secuirty rules issued by the NFA.

The National Fire Academy is a HIGH SECURITY FEDERAL INSTALLATION.  NFA phone 301.447.1048

- All students entering the National Fire Academy campus will be required to pass through a security check point. This will include a complete search of your vehicle and your luggage.  Please be prepared for this delay in planning your arrival at the NFA.

- You will be required to present a picture ID and your name must be listed on the official class roster to pass through the security check point. 

- Relatives and friends of NETC students cannot stay on campus.

- NO WEAPONS (this includes ammunition) are permitted on campus. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! This includes pocket knives etc., also follow FAA guidelines for air travel.

- NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are permitted to be brought on campus.

NEW!! All cancellations within 30 days of class and all no-shows will be restricted from attendance at the NFA for the next 24 months unless your chief submits a written letter to NFA and TFACA explaining the cancellation.

Failure to comply with any of these regulations may result in your immediate dismissal from the NFA Campus and other disciplinary/legal action may be taken.
