Notes:

Eight of the nine voting Board members are appointed by the governor from a list of nominees submitted by the respective professional societies: American Institute of Architects-Tennessee, Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers, American Society of Landscape Architects-Tennessee and Tennessee Interior Design Coalition.

Architect and Engineer Board members are appointed to represent each grand division of the state.

The landscape architect member and the interior design member represent the state at large.

The final voting member of The Board, the public member, is appointed directly by the governor and represents the state at large. [Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, Chapter 2, Section 62-2-201 (a)(b)].

Three non-voting associate engineer members are nominated by the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers and are appointed by the governor to represent each grand division of the state. [Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, Chapter 2, Section 62-2-201 (c)].

Board members serve four-year terms that expire at different times. Board officers are selected annually with terms running from July 1 through June 30 of the following year.
