National Eldercare Locator
- The nationwide Eldercare Locator is a toll
free 800 number for identifying the information and referral assistance
(I&R/A) services provided by State and Area Agencies on Aging. This service
is funded by the U.S. Administration on Aging and administered by the National
Association of Area Agencies on Aging in cooperation with NASUA. Individuals
calling this service have access to more than 4800 state and local information
and referral service providers, identified for every ZIP code in the country.
The database also includes special purpose I&R telephone numbers for
Alzheimer's hotlines, adult day care and respite services, nursing home
ombudsman assistance, consumer fraud, in-home care complaints, legal services,
elder abuse/protective services, Medicare/Medicaid/Medigap information, tax
assistance and transportation. The Eldercare Locator - (800) 677-1116 - is
available weekdays, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (ET).

- Health Related Boards Investigations can
provide you with information about how to file a complaint against a health
care professional licensed in the State of Tennessee or advise you if any
previous disciplinary actions have been taken against a licensee. State law
prohibits the release of information concerning any investigation that did not
result in disciplinary action.
- Home Health Agency Complaint Hotline:

- The Division of Health Care Facilities manages
the federally required Home Health Agency Complaint Hotline. Any individual
who may have concerns over the care they have received or a family member may
have received from a Home Health Agency in Tennessee can call this hotline to
register their complaint's).

consumers and providers with general information about osteoporosis, including
prevention, detection, treatment, side effects of medications, and educational

- The TennCare Information line is available
weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (CT). TennCare's automated Voice
Response System is available around-the-clock. Operators provide information
on eligibility, TennCare Health Plans, TennCare premiums, applications, and
address changes.

- The Tennessee Redline is a toll-free telephone service coordinated by the Tennessee Association of Alcohol, Drug and other Addiction Services, under the supervision of the Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities’ Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services. Information specialists are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to answer questions and provide information and referrals on alcohol, tobacco, other drugs and gambling.
