Project Opportunity is an education and training program for youth with disabilities transitioning from high school. The Project, based at Vanderbilt University’s Children’s Hospital, provides on-site work experiences and classes. The goal is to place these students in meaningful, competitive-wage jobs at Vanderbilt Hospital, at Vanderbilt University, or in the community-at-large.
Tennessee’s Project Opportunity is modeled after Project SEARCH at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
