Aerial Application of PesticidesPesticide Section:  This Section deals not only with pests but with the tools used to combat them. Units within this section deal with pesticide registration, commercial and private applicator certification, groundwater protection, pesticide manufacturers and dealers, structural pest control operators, farmers, landscapers, etc. Pests of major concern in this section are termites and other wood destroying organisms, along with a host of agricultural crop pests. 

Ag Inputs:  The Ag Inputs Section regulates commercial animal feeds, commercial fertilizers, agricultural and vegetable seed and agricultural lime. The Tennessee Commodity Indemnity Fund also resides in this section.

Product labeling is reviewed and samples are obtained in the field. Samples are analyzed in the TDA Ivy Laboratory to ensure label guarantees are met and that standards of quality expected by the customer are achieved.
