LABORATORY REPORTING POLICY

Final Report Distribution, Necropsy reports - Final necropsy reports will be mailed to owners of equine or food/fiber producing animals or small (fee-based) animals having a complete address on the submission form and who have submitted, in person, an entire carcass for necropsy.  Final necropsy reports on equine or food/fiber producing animals submitted by the veterinarian are faxed to the veterinarian and mailed to the owner if a complete owner address is on the submission form.  Final necropsy reports on small (fee-based) animals submitted by the veterinarian will be faxed to the veterinarian.

Final Report Distribution, Non-Necropsy reports - Final reports will be faxed to veterinarians and owners on non-necropsy cases in which specimens were obtained from equine or food/fiber producing animals if a complete owner address is present on the submission form.  Final reports will be faxed to veterinarians on non-necropsy cases in which specimens were obtained from small (fee-based) animals.
