Agricultural Inputs and Pesticides

Pesticide Section:  This Section deals not only with pests but with the tools used to combat them. Units within this section deal with pesticide registration, commercial and private applicator certification, groundwater protection, pesticide manufacturers and dealers, structural pest control operators, farmers, landscapers, etc. Pests of major concern in this section are termites and other wood destroying organisms, along with a host of agricultural crop pests.

Feed, Seed and Fertilizer Section:  Feed, seed and fertilizer samples are taken for analysis by field inspectors. These are sent to the department's laboratory for analysis to be checked for purity and effectiveness, ensuring that the standards of quality expected by the customer are met.
