Public Chapter 442 (“the Sunshine Law”) enacted by the 88th General Assembly requires public notice of meetings of all government bodies whose actions can affect public policy. The following notice is hereby given:
Items on the agenda include
a discussion of private forest land certification and an update on the 2008
wildfire season. The Commission will
also review and approve revised meeting bylaws and the commission’s 2007 annual
report to the legislature. The meeting
is open to the public. Anyone interested
in addressing the board should plan to arrive prior to the start of the meeting
in order to be placed on the agenda.
The Tennessee Forestry
Commission comprises seven members representing the public’s interests as it
relates to forest resources in the state. The commission advises the
Department of Agriculture on matters pertaining to forest resource issues and
