Public Chapter 442 (“the Sunshine Law”) enacted by the 88th General Assembly requires public notice of meetings of all government bodies whose actions can affect public policy.  The following notice is hereby given:

 

 

Tennessee Forestry Commission TO meet

 

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Forestry Commission will meet Oct. 9 at 9 a.m. (CST) in the conference room of the Division of Forestry’s West Tennessee District Office in Lexington, located at 220 Eastern Shores Drive.  The agenda includes an overview of the Division’s activities at the district, area and county levels.  Anyone interested in addressing the board should plan to arrive prior to the start of the meeting in order to be placed on the agenda. 

 

The Tennessee Forestry Commission comprises seven members representing the public’s interests as it relates to forest resources in the state.  The commission advises the Department of Agriculture on matters pertaining to forest resources issues and the Division of Forestry.  For more information, contact the Tennessee Department of Agriculture Division of Forestry at (615) 837-5520.
