Public Chapter 442 (“the Sunshine Law”) enacted by the 88th General Assembly requires public notice of meetings of all government bodies whose actions can affect public policy. The following notice is hereby given:
Tennessee Forestry Commission TO meet
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Forestry Commission will meet Jan. 23 at 9:30 a.m. (CST) in the Bruer Building at Ellington Agricultural Center, located at 440 Hogan Road in Nashville. The agenda includes a report on current state Division of Forestry activities, a review of the division’s annual report, and an update on the State Forest system’s Forest Stewardship Council certification. Anyone interested in addressing the board should plan to arrive prior to the start of the meeting in order to be placed on the agenda.
The Tennessee Forestry Commission comprises seven members representing the public’s interests as it relates to forest resources in the state. The commission advises the Department of Agriculture on matters pertaining to forest resources issues and the Division of Forestry.
