Directory of Tennessee's Forest Industries |
Our
Tennessee
forests play a major role in the state's economy for forest landowners, the
forest industry, and the job market.
They provide a wide range of products for our everyday use. Primary forest products industries use roundwood
(logs) and converts them into products such as hardwood lumber or paper.
A secondary processor uses the primary product and adds value; such as
manufacturing furniture from lumber.
The 2007 Directory was made
possible by the cooperation of the Tennessee forest industry which supplies data
to the many Division of Forestry employees across the state. We have made
every effort to be accurate and complete. Please report any errors to the
Department of Agriculture, Division of Forestry in Nashville, (615) 837-5430, or
5540.
